Lernergebnisse

Students, who have successfully attended the module, possess the following competencies:

  • They are knowledgeable about public governance and about open government, including the principles of these fields of research and practice.
  • Students can distinguish the fields e-government, e-participation, public governance and open government.
  • Students know the theories, methods and concepts for realising good governance and open government.
  • Students know instruments of citizen participation and citizen engagement to ensure transparency and trust in government and how these instruments can be introduced in e-government and e-participation projects.
  • Students know the different fields of open government, including open government data and government 2.0 initiatives
  • Students are able to evaluate and assess how well e-government and e-participation endeavours implement good governance principles and they can argue where the endeavours fail.
  • Students know means and instruments to introduce open government and good governance principles in e-government and e-participation
  • Students know the principles and means to conceptualise open government and citizen co-creation endeavours.
