Home of team resko@UniKoblenz and homer@UniKoblenz
We participate in the RoboCup competitions with our robot “Robbie 12″, which is the autonomous mobile system of the University of Koblenz-Landau and has been continuously developed over a period of four years in the Active Vision Group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietrich Paulus. In 2007 and 2008, Robbie 8 and Robbie X received four Best in Class Autonomy Awards in the Rescue Competition. In 2008, we competed in the @home league and achieved the fourth place.
Team resko@UniKoblenz competes in the RoboCup Rescue league, where the task is to create a map of a maze which resembles a collapsed building, searching for hidden injured persons (which are simulated by specially prepared dolls) at the same time (Team Description Paper 2009).
Team homer@UniKoblenz competes in the RoboCup@Home league. In this competition, the goal is to solve various tasks in a household scenario. They include natural human-robot interaction, navigating to previously learned locations, finding and retrieving lost objects and remembering names and faces (Team Description Paper 2009).
In 2009, Robbie 12 is going to participate in the Rescue and @Home league at the RoboCup German Open and at the RoboCup World Championship in Graz. (Other RoboCup participations)
