Seminar session summaries
in Didactic Perspectives on Anglo-American Cultural Studies in Module 5
and Anglo-American Cultural Studies in Module 4 (BA) / Module 6 (BEd)

One goal for everyone in my module 5 and 4/6 seminars is learning how to get more out of our seminar sessions as well as getting practice in writing in preparation for the written module exams.

Each group (in Module 5) or each student or group (in Module 4 for BA and Module 6 for BEd students) uses the appropriate OLAT forum thread to submit summaries of all seminar sessions beginning with the second session of the seminar. The session summaries and the commentaries must be given in the text message box only - no text attachments - but can include photos or graphics attached.

There are two kinds of summaries: a first detailed summary of each session and then commentaries on the initial summary. Each group / student will have one or more chances to submit a first detailed summary - always due by Monday high noon in the week following the session. All other groups / students then post their comments, additions, corrections by Wednesday high noon. All students are responsible for reading the entire summary thread before our Thursday session.

We'll be using the summaries of our session in our seminar discussions and as a record of learning progress and achievements throughout the seminar.
