"Industry Track" Call for Papers

The Industry Track of OGRW 2014 seeks contributions in two categories to showcase recent advances in pattern recognition and image understanding research with direct industry relevance, to discuss emerging trends and challenges with practical implications, and to facilitate interactions among academia and industry.

  • Extended abstracts submitted to OGRW 2014 Industry Track will be peer-reviewed as all the other submissions. Compared to the two other blocks of OGRW 2014, Industry Track papers do not necessarily need to contain major methodological advances, algorithmic contributions, or rigorous experimental/computational validation. Rather, the emphasis will be on industrial innovations, clear practical relevance, interesting lessons learned through significant practice, or advanced classes of applications which might open up new opportunities for interesting academic work. Accepted Industry Track papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings, which will be published through the international journal "Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis. Advances in Mathematical Theory and Applications".

  • Demonstration of state-of-the art systems in Pattern Recognition and image understanding are also welcome and can be included into the schedule of the Industry Track.

Contributions from industry R&D groups, governmental or private research agencies, policy makers, and academia are welcome. Please visit the conference website at http://ogrw2014.uni-koblenz.de/Industry for submission details.

Papers presented at the Industry Track will draw a large audience and generate interesting discussions.
