Day 2 - Open Challenge

The challenge after GPSR was the Open Challenge.

During this challenge teams are encouraged to demonstrate recent research results and the best of the robots’ abilities. It focuses on the demonstration of new approaches/applications, human-robot interaction and scientific value.

We demonstrated detection of sitting affordances on different chairs. One of the chairs was the violet Lisa robot, which was also succesfull recognized as “sittable objects”. Also the detected human model was displayed correctly. Although the rest of the demo couldn’t be shown we are happy with the performance.
