This year’s RoboCup in Hefei was a great competition and the result was far better than we expected. We had a great team and a great robot that’s hardware never failed. Not to forget, we four that were lucky to go to Hefei were just a small part of the current team. And the current team was just a small part of the researchers and students who worked on Lisa and her predecessor, Robbie, over so many years. So we also would like to thank all of them!

One more word about the RoboCup itself: The local organization was really remarkable. If we had to pick one thing that was different this year compared to others, it would surely be the help and kind assistance of the volunteers, especially our two volunteers Estelle and Lisa (who did not have an “English name” before and was named after our robot).

We have already told you about all the other tests of RoboCup@Home. The only thing missing is the final. We decided to post a video with comments rather than a long text to explain to you what we have demonstrated (see below).

Before coming to the video, we would also like to thank our sponsors and supporters: Einst e.V., the Chamber of Crafts in Koblenz, Heuft Systemtechnik GmbH, Stiftung Zukunft der Sparkasse, MLP Finanzdienstleistungen, IDS Imaging, Batterien Lenz, UlrichC.DE, Reuffel and Nuance. And last but not least we are thankful for the great support we got from the University of Koblenz-Landau and the federal state Rhineland-Palatinate.
