Today Maggie stacked her personal record of 8 cubes (1.6m) and ended up 7th in the finals
Today round 3 was up in the morning. We were the first team. Maggie was able to break her personal record during this run. For the first time our little Baby was able to stack 8 RoboMaster cubes before time was up, meaning she built a tower of 1.6m height, which we are very happy about. We ended up at the 7th place out of approximately 90 teams that initially applied, right after 6 Chinese teams. We learned a lot during the competition and are happy to have reached the finals.
Many of the other teams came by after and were impressed by our approach. We were the only team that used a map and navigated on the current state of the environment in the competition.
After our round we went across the conferences and attended some keynotes and talks. And after lunch we decided to build a map of the whole expo level which is quite big. The map was OK in the end and we were able to navigate autonomously through the exhibition hall which gave us some attention and some people were talking to us and inspecting the robot.
We are quite happy that we could participate in this new kind of league and want to thank all participating teams and the RoboMasters organizers. We learned a lot and being part of a big robotic conference was a great experience. We are looking forward to RoboCup now in Nagoya the in mid of July.
